Welcome to LinkPreview.io. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website, tools, and services located at linkpreview.io (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

1. The service

LinkPreview.io is a free utility that fetches publicly accessible web pages submitted by users and displays previews of how those pages will appear when shared on social-media platforms. The Service is provided as-is, with no guarantee of availability, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. Features may change, be added, or be removed at any time without notice.

2. Acceptable use

Content displayed by the Service that is fetched from URLs you submit (titles, descriptions, images, and other meta data) belongs to the respective publishers of those URLs. LinkPreview.io makes no claim of ownership over such third-party content and renders it solely to provide a preview to the user who submitted the URL.

4. Third-party content and links

The Service displays previews and meta data from third-party websites. We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content of those sites. Any reliance on third-party content is at your own risk. Links to external services (for example, Google's advertising preferences) are provided for convenience only.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, and uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that previews generated by the Service will be identical to how a given platform actually renders a link, since platforms change their rendering rules over time.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will the operator of LinkPreview.io, its affiliates, or its contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service is limited to one hundred United States dollars (USD 100) or the amount you have paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.
